Weight Loss Surgery Qualifications:
You may be qualified for weight loss surgery if you meet any of the following conditions:
- You are 100 pounds or more overweight
- You have a Body Mass Index (BMI) of 40 or greater
Your Body Mass Index (BMI) is between 35 and 40 and you have one or more of the following obesity-related conditions:
- Diabetes
- High blood pressure (hypertension)
- Documented sleep apnea
