Day of Surgery

Your Big Day
It's your big day. Don't worry. Let us help you turn any anxiety into anticipation of a healthier life ahead.
You'll feel our welcome as soon as you walk through our doors. You'll be happy to see the same faces you met during your consultation. We'll make sure you and any and all family and friends that come with you are comfortable.
The actual surgery typically takes from 0.5 to 2 hours. After surgery, you'll be moved to a recovery room for a brief period, then to a monitored room, where our specially trained nursing staff will care for you. Shortly afterward, we'll have you up and walking around to speed your recovery. And our nutritionists and other staff will begin to help you learn healthy new eating habits with Barix Clinics' educational program. You'll learn about our "Eating for Healing" dietary program that lets your stomach recover from surgery, and "Eating for Life," the dietary program you'll follow upon your recovery. The average stay at Barix Clinics program hospitals varies depending upon the type of surgery we perform, and family and friends are welcome and are encouraged to visit and participate for added support.
Recovery
Barix Clinics program hospitals offer a private setting with the care and compassion you deserve.
During your stay, you'll be our guest - and you'll be treated with compassion for your well-being and respect for your privacy. We're committed to providing a personal, caring environment where you're treated individually, while providing everything you need for surgery and post-operative care.
After surgery, you'll continue the journey toward your new life - and Barix Clinics' comprehensive aftercare program is there to help you every step of the way.
If you are 100 lbs. or more overweight, we may have the answer you've been looking for.
